VBC/Brand Video

Make your story known.

Why Video?

First impressions are key to any business's success. The VBC is a great way to tell everyone who you are and what you do in an entertaining and emotional way. This video works great for homepages on websites and social media pages.

Unlike text, video makes the viewer elicit a specific emotion that will further influence their perception of your brand.

Meeting

Pre-Production

Here we will meet and talk about your goals and your desired outcome for the video. This is where we will answer things like...

  • Who is your target audience?

  • What are your Key messages?

  • What emotions do you want to evoke?

  • Who will be speaking on behalf of your company?

  • Where will the videos be hosted?

Once we have defined your goals we will start to find the locations and personalities you would like featured in your video.

Because these videos are designed to convey authenticity, there is no word-for-word script. Instead, we will come up with questions to ask each interviewee that will elicit the response we are looking for. These questions look something like...

  • What does your specific product/service do for the customer?

  • Why do you love being able to do X for the customer?

  • How much experience does your team have?

Interviews

Now that we know your goals, it's time to start shooting! To make an interview look professional, it's crucial to make sure you are using the best equipment.

  • 4-5 "in house" interviews from your CEO to specific employee's.

  • 2-3 "happy customer's" interviews where they will talk about their experience working with you

  • Locations: Each interview will be in the location that best represents to interviewiee.

Colaboration

To make sure you get the exact message you are trying to get across you will have the option to view a "text version" of all of your interviews. Here you can make notes on some of the key things you want said in your video. This is completely optional and does not need to be done by you, but it's a great option for those who want to have creative control over the final video.

B-roll

Now that we know exactly what we want the video to say, now it's time to add visuals to really engage the viewer. B-roll is a term in the film world that represents footage placed over the A-roll. A-roll in this instance would be the interviews and B-roll would be any footage, graphics, or supplementary visuals that play while the interviewee is talking.

Gathering B-roll can take place any time but is usually best filmed after the video is been put together in an A-roll edit (interviews only). This allows for every B-roll clip to be captured with the intention of it playing over top an interview.

Post Production

After filming the interviews and B-roll footage it's time to put everything together! Within a week or so we will send you a rough draft of the video to make sure we are all on the same page. We will send you this rough draft through a service where you can add time-specific notes on the video to make sure you are getting exactly what you are looking for!
